Presence

Works exploring closeness, focus, and what happens when we are truly present.

There are moments when you realise that, although you are there, you are not really present. Conversations flow, thoughts jump from one thing to another, and your attention fragments into tiny pieces. Everything happens at once, and that is precisely why little sticks. These works do not start at the surface, but with this state. They slow things down. Not abruptly, but gradually. As you look at them, something emerges that you are hardly used to anymore: a moment without an immediate reaction. No next impulse, no clear goal. Just a brief pause. And that is exactly where something shifts.

Attention becomes coherent again. Perception becomes calmer. Closeness becomes possible – to oneself, but also to others.
The works offer no solution and no narrative. They create an experience: what it feels like to truly be there.
Not perfect.
 Not permanent.
 But sufficient for a moment.

NOT PERFECT.
 NOT PERMANENT.
 BUT SUFFICIENT FOR A MOMENT.
